Denny’s has absolutely phenomenal vegan options, not only are there tons of them but they’re dang tasty. It doesn’t matter what “type” of vegan you are, you can find something at Denny’s for you.

Even if you prefer (or need to) eat gluten free as well as vegan there are options for you at Denny’s. You don’t have to just eat a salad either.

Denny’s has a vegan veggie burger, amazing vegan french fries, many sauteed vegetable skillet-choices, oatmeal (when made with water), english muffins, toast, and hash browns amongst other yummy things.

Seriously, Denny’s is great for us vegans, way better than other 24/7 “breakfast” places like IHOP or Waffle House, both which have limited Vegan options compared to Denny’s.

Vegan "Breakfast" Options at Denny's (All Day)

  • Hash Browns
  • Oatmeal (Request to be made with water instead of milk)
  • Wheat English Muffin (Request no Butter)
  • Toast (Request no Butter)
  • Red-skinned Potatoes
  • Mixed Fruit Cup
  • Plain Bagel (Not present at all locations, but always Vegan)
  •  Grits (Request to be made with water instead of Milk)
If you get oatmeal, toast, or an English Muffin, or you know what even a bagel, make sure to get some Jams/Jellies to go with it, or some of Denny’s Maple Syrup, as it’s 100% Vegan!

You can also get add-ins into your Hash-browns, it varies based on location, but most will at least have Mushrooms, Onions, and bell peppers or tomatoes.

Vegan Lunch/Dinner Main Course Options at Denny's:

  • BYOB (Build Your Own Burger – see below paragraphs)
  • Fit Fare Veggie Skillet (No Egg)
  • Hearty Breakfast Skillet (No Sausage, Eggs, or Cheese.)
  • Santa Fe Skillet (No Chorizo, Eggs, or Cheese.)
  • Supreme Skillet (No Sausage, Eggs, or Cheese.)

If you’re getting a skillet make sure to ask for a couple tortillas to go with it, it’s a bit extra usually, but it’s worth it in my opinion. I’d highly recommend getting the first skillet, the Fit Fare Veggie Skillet, if you’re getting a skillet as it comes with Salsa and is really just on point. Just make sure to order it without the Egg-whites in it.

As for the Build-Your-Own-Burger, you can get sauteed onions and/or mushrooms, avocado, Jalapeno, and all those typical “burger” things like lettuce, tomato, and various sauces like ketchup, barbecue sauce, etc. You can also get a second patty added for only a dollar fifty or two dollars, which is worth it if you aren’t getting something to go with it in my opinion. Only the Whole-wheat and the brioche buns are vegan.

  • Baked potato (Plain, no butter/etc)

  • Mixed Fruit Cup
  •  Sauteed Zucchini & Squash (Not all locations)
  • Broccoli
As mentioned above in the breakfast section, make sure you to get some Maple Syrup or Jellies for your Oatmeal/Toast/English-Muffins, they’re free, completely vegan, and downright delicious!
