Everything Vegan at Jason’s Deli (2023)

Jason’s Deli is arguably one of the most vegan-friendly sandwich shops currently, with tons of locations and numerous options you’re sure to be able to build a pretty good vegan meal at Jason’s Deli.

Personally, my favorite thing at Jason’s Deli is probably either the Organic Vegetable Soup or the Zucchini Garden Pasta, rather than the sandwiches surprisingly enough — not to say their sandwiches are bad, they’re quite good too.

Here is their vegetarian menu.

Jason’s Deli Pre-Built Vegan Sandwiches:

  • Mediterranean Wrap (Specify No Turkey)
  • Spinach Veggie Wrap (Specify No Cheese)
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Texacado Toast (no cheese, no ranch)

Jason’s Deli Build-Your-Own Vegan Sandwich Options:

Below will be all the vegan toppings Jason’s Deli offers, the vegan bread types, and the sauces/extras that might go on a sandwich. Personally I’d recommend doing this over picking a pre-made sandwich, as they’re about the same price and you can get a lot more if you opt to select which ingredients you want in it. Just be careful not to put too many on that it’s overflowing and hard to eat.

Vegan Breads at Jason’s Deli:

Focaccia Bread, French Bread, Organic Wheat Wrap, Rye Bread, Telera Bread Muffaletta Bun, and the Organic Ancient Grain Bun.

Vegan Sandwich Toppings at Jason’s Deli:

Cucumber Slices, Diced Red Onions, Italian Peppers, Jalapenos, Kalamata Olives, Fresh Cilantro, Grapes, Black Pepper Powder, Leafy Lettuce, Muffaletta Mix, Organic Field Greens, Organic Red Apples, Roma Tomato Slices, Salsa, Sauerkraut, Sliced Avocado, Roasted Zucchini, Pico De Gallo, Red Onion Rings, Roasted Herb Tomatoes, Pickle Spears, Organic Spinach, Sliced Mushrooms, Strawberries, Tomato Slices, Sliced Piquillo Peppers, and “Southwest Spices.”

Vegan Spreads/Salsas/Sauces at Jason’s Deli:

Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mustard, Organic Mustard, Red Wine Vinaigrette, Marinara Sauce, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Light Raspberry Cabernet Vinaigrette, Homemade Guacamole, Barbecue Sauce, Cucumber Dill Vinaigrette, and Extra Virgin Olive oil.

Vegan Side Options at Jason’s Deli:

  • Baked Potato or Sweet Potato (see below)
  • Fruit Cup/Side (Specify no creamy sauce, it’s not vegan!)
  • Chips and Salsa
  • Chips and Hummus
  • Chips and Guacamole
  • Vegetable Soup
  • Steamed Vegetables

The above are all vegan, however with the potatoes you can modify them or order them as a main dish as well, although it may require some modification to make the potatoes on the menu vegan. But you can order them with guacamole or any of the sandwich-toppings in/with them.

Vegan Pasta Options at Jason’s Deli:

  • Zucchini Garden Pasta (specify no cheese or “fresco” seasoning)
  • Build-Your-Own Pasta(? – See Below)

Unfortunately, that’s all the vegan pasta options Jason’s Deli has.

As they have a Vegan Mariana Sauce that you can get on their sandwiches you could also likely request the pasta to be made with that instead, and potentially request them to add vegetables to it, however not all locations seem to be willing to do this.

Vegan Salad Options at Jason’s Deli:

Jason’s Deli has a pretty good Salad bar and numerous Salad Dressings to choose from that are Vegan.

Like most Salad Bars the crackers they have generally aren’t vegan, however in the case of Jason’s Deli usually they do have a single vegan cracker at each location. It varies based on location, so you’ll have to ask employees, look it up if it has branding on the package, or simply choose to avoid them.

Vegan Salad Bar Ingredient Choices:

Grape Tomatoes, Broccoli, Red Bell Peppers, Yellow Bell Peppers, Baby Carrots, Mushrooms, Spinach, Mixed Greens, Salad Greens, Apple Slices, Beets, Zucchini Sticks, Kalamata Olives, Artichokes, Italian Peppers, Red Pepper Hummus, Granola, Red Onion Rings, Cucumber Slices, Cajun (Spicy) Seasoning, Green Olives, Piquillo Peppers, Sweet Peas, and Jalapenos.

Vegan Salad Dressings at Jason’s Deli:

Light Raspberry Cabernet Vinaigrette, Balsamic Vinegar, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Red Wine Vinaigrette, Cucumber-Dill Vinaigrette, and Olive Oil.
