Everything Vegan at Atlanta Bread (2023)

Fact-checked badge

Atlanta Bread has plenty of vegan-friendly options, as most bread places do — although their options are still relatively limited as their menu is generally not very large.

You can expect a few vegan salads, a vegan dressing or two, a couple sandwiches, and numerous bread options that we’ll cover below. Overall I think Atlanta bread is a pretty alright place to have a small meal at, although really vegan or not it’s not really a place to have a large meal at due to it’s bread-shop nature.

First we’ll cover proper menu items, then we’ll go into sides, desserts, and finally breads, bagels, and other baked goodies you could take home or include in your meal (or build your own meal from) at Atlanta Bread.

Vegan Main Courses at Atlanta Bread:

  • California Avocado (Specify no Cheese, Mayo, or Dill Sauce)
  • Italian Vegetarian Panini (Specify no Cheese)
  • Veggie Sandwich (Specify no Mayo)
  • Chopstix Salad without Chicken (See Dressing Options Below)
  • House Salad (Specify no Croutons)
  • Oatmeal (Confirm made with water, varies)

For the Salads both the Fat-free Raspberry vinaigrette and the regular balsamic vinaigrette are vegan-friendly. The sesame ginger dressing is also vegan-friendly.

Unfortunately, despite what other websites say, none of the soups that Atlanta Bread currently have on rotation are generally vegan. You can ask at your location of course, but according to Atlanta Bread’s allergy disclosure and what I’ve heard from the company they’re currently all non-vegan and always contain dairy or eggs in them, if not meat.

Vegan Sides at Atlanta Bread:

  • Kettle Chips
  • Lays Potato Chips
  • Fruit Salad
  • Orange
  • Apple
  • Avocado
  • Pickle Spears
  • Expresso Shot
  • Black Coffee (iced or hot)
  • Black Tea

You can also have a smoothie, but we put those down below in the desserts section as they’re the closest thing to a dessert a vegan can get at Atlanta Bread. Of course you can also get a loaf of bread or a bagel (see below for vegan ones) as a side as well and take the rest (if there’s any left!) home.

Vegan Desserts at Atlanta Bread:

  • Strawberry Smoothie
  • Mango-Raspberry Smoothie
  • Pineapple-Mango Smoothie
  • Other Fruit Smoothies (Varies by location)

Yeah, yeah, I know they’re not really desserts, but they’re the best us vegans get at Atlanta Bread. All the other stuff is savory with the exception of the fruit we listed under sides. I mean you can always have your own store-bought candy for dessert, such as vegan candy canes.

Vegan Bakery Options at Atlanta Bread:

  • All Breads that do not say “Cheese/Asiago” or “Honey” in their name (See below)

Apparently all of their breads are vegan-friendly with the exception of ones that clearly are not. Currently this applies to the following bread flavors they have: French Baguette, Mediterranean Focaccia, Pumpernickel, Sourdough, Nine-Grain, Cinnamon Raisin, Ciabatta, Regular French Loaves, Ancient Grain Cranberry, Tomato Onion Focaccia, Sourdough Bread Bowl.

As for the bagels the vegan ones are: Blueberry, Everything, Multi-Grain, Onion, Poppy-Seed, Plain, Sesame Seed, and Cinnamon Raisin.

The Croissants and other dessert-goodies we didn’t list contain eggs and/or dairy, and thus aren’t vegan.
