Everything Vegan at Village Inn

Village Inn is similar to Ihop or Denny’s, they’re just a smaller regional version of those restaurants. Unfortunately they don’t have as many vegan options as either of those big chains. Especially compared to Denny’s.

Village Inn still has enough vegan options to make an alright vegan meal at though. We’ll go over all the vegan options available at Village Inn below, including some unique ways to combine what’s vegan into a not only tasty, but relatively satisfying healthy vegan meal.

Vegan Side Dishes at Village Inn:

  • Country Potatoes
  • Hash-browns
  • Baked Potato (say you don’t want butter/sour-cream)
  • Plain Quaker Oatmeal (Confirm you want it with water)
  • Fresh Fruit Cup
  • Applesauce
  • Seasoned Fries
  • Side Salad (No Cheese)
  • Fresh Broccoli
  • Banana Slices

There are no vegan soups and the Cinnamon-Apple slices are NOT vegan, so don’t be fooled by them.

Vegan Bread Options at Village Inn:

  • Marbled Rye
  • Sourdough
  • Wheat
  • White
  • Tortilla

If you get bread, especially if you get it toasted, make sure they know you don’t want butter, as usually Village Inn employees will put butter on any bread that’s ordered since most customers ask if they don’t.

Vegan Vegetable/Toppings/Add-ins at Village Inn:

  • Onions
  • Mushrooms
  • Fresh Spinach
  • Tomatoes
  • Broccoli
  • Green Peppers
  • Red Peppers
  • Arichokes
  • Avocado
  • Pico De Gallo or Salsa
  • Lettuce
You can add these into hash-browns usually or if the employees are kind they’ll stir-fry them on the grill and put them in a sandwich with the bread listed above if you ask.

Vegan Salad Options at Village Inn:

  • Side Salad (No Cheese)
  • Light Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • French Dressing

You can usually ask for a larger salad than the side-salad, however all the menu-item salads have meat, cheese, and are basically just side-salads when you take out the non-vegan ingredients. Keep in mind the corn is non-vegan, so if you order the southwest salad you’ll need to remove it as well. Because of this I’d only recommend the side-salad without cheese.

If you want you can ask for avocado or Pico De Gallo for your salad, as well as potentially some of the vegetables mentioned above, although it’s really up to the employees if they’re accommodating.
