Everything Vegan at Bojangles (2023)

Bojangles is a south-eastern US chain restaurant that’s similar to KFC or Popeyes, and much like them they unfortunately have very few vegan options.

To put it bluntly, Bojangles isn’t a place where you can really make a botched vegan meal at. They just don’t have enough options. Vegetarians of course have it a bit easier and can sort of scrape by, but personally I don’t think they have enough to make a satisfying Vegan meal.

But hey, they do have a few options.

Vegan Menu Options at Bojangles:

  • Cajun Pinto Beans
  • BBQ sauce
  • Green Beans
  • Breakfast Picnic Grits
  • Garden Salad (no cheese)

Their fat-free Italian dressing is also vegan.

Their fries/Bo-Tato Rounds are allegedly fried in oil that contains beef, and thus they aren’t Vegan. The seasoning they put on them however, as well as basically everything they sell, is vegan and is basically the equivalent of store-bought season salt (salt, sugar, paprika, onion powder, msg, etc).

What about Bojangles dirty Rice or mashed potatoes?

Because I’ve heard plenty of people say other items on their menu are vegan, such as their dirty rice, I want to be clear and say it’s not. Bojangles Dirty Rice is NOT vegan. Maybe it used to be, but at least now it contains sausage, which obviously isn’t vegan. As for their mashed potatoes, they also aren’t vegan according to the Bojangles folks I talked to and according to their allergy menu.
